Terms regarding the sale of our Guinea Pigs

  • We do not breed to make money, but to further and improve our lines, and money from the sale of our guinea pigs will be used to feed the rest of the gang, or go into their vet fees fund.
  •  We prefer to sell our guinea pigs in pairs, trios etc, we will only sell singly if you already have a guinea pig in need of a companion.
  • We will not sell our guinea pigs to be companions to rabbits, as they have different nutritional requirements, and rabbits have very powerful back legs which could easily injure a guinea pig or even prove fatal.
  • We will not sell to Children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult.
  • We prefer the  guinea pigs  we sell to live indoors over winter, as they are not as hardy as rabbits.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale of our guinea pigs if we deem the potential new owners unsuitable. This is to protect our guinea pigs as their welfare is very important to us!
  • If the unfortunate situation arrises and you can no longer keep, (or no longer want) your 'Galloway Guineas' guinea pigs then we will gladly take them back if you return them to us.  Please return them to us rather than a rescue centre nor leave them unhandled in their hutch or cage.
     
  • A deposit will be required to reserve a pig. The remainder to be paid upon collection. The deposit is non refundable should the purchaser change their mind.  If however the unlikely situation occurs that the chosen pig is sick and cannot leave here or dies then the deposit will be refunded. If any more suitable pigs are available then we may at our discression offer the purchaser the option of choosing to purchase that one in replacement of the lost/ill one. However if no other pigs are available then we will cancel the sale and all deposits will be refunded to the buyer (including the deposit of the other pig if the purchaser only wanted 2 pigs and one was no longer available through illness/death and no others were available, as we will not then sell them to live alone)
  • Please contact us if you change your mind and no longer wish to continue with your purchase of your pig/s
  • A small bag of food will be provided when you collect your pig/s this should be mixed in with your chosen own guinea pig food during the first week to make the transition from the existing food they are on to the new one more of a gradual process.
     
  • Pigs will be atleast 6-8 weeks old before they leave here (depending on development and size), we will not sell them below this age
  • Should the the unlikely event arrise that the pig dies in their new home within the first 3 days, then we will refund the purchase cost only (the price we sold the pig to you for only), if the pig is returned to us within the 4 day period, no later.
  • Feel free to ask if you have any questions, no matter how simple or daft they may sound to yourselves, as we will happily advise you on minimum cage requirements, food, bedding, care etc. We will also carry out free nail trimming if you bring your 'Galloway Guineas' purchased pigs back to us.
  • Please bring suitable boxes or carriers when you come to collect your Guinea pigs
